Skippo AB, organization number 559386-0942 (hereinafter referred to as ”Skippo”), is a company with operations in the Nordic region. Within Skippo we process personal data for our customers, their representatives and contact persons as well as users who use our services and products. Skippo’s privacy policy has been developed with the aim of maintaining a high level of protection for personal privacy and to clarify skippo’s position on privacy issues and the processing of personal data. Through this Policy, and in accordance with applicable legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679, ”GDPR”) and other applicable national data protection laws in Sweden (”Data Protection Legislation”), we ensure the privacy of our customers and users. This Privacy Policy applies to all products and services provided by Skippo, including websites and mobile applications. However, certain products and services provided by Skippo may be subject to special conditions regarding the processing of personal data. You will be informed of these in the event of use of the relevant service / product.

1. Summary of our data processing practices

Skippo collects personal data for the purpose of, among other things, communicating with, and fulfilling our commitments towards, our customers and users in accordance with the agreements we have entered into and to improve the quality of our products and services. We also collect personal data in order to offer you customized content and ads. In addition, personal data is collected for the purpose of providing and administering your access to services as well as responding to customer service cases and correcting errors. Skippo only processes your personal data for the purposes for which it was collected and in accordance with this privacy policy and relevant legislation. We save personal data for as long as it is required to fulfill the purposes described in this privacy policy. When your personal data is no longer relevant for the purposes for which it was collected, we delete or anonymise it, including any logs and other backups.

2. Legal bases

Your personal integrity is important to Skippo and we only process your personal data in accordance with relevant privacy legislation. We process your personal data when it is required to fulfill an agreement with you and process customer cases and services provided by Skippo’s customer service. We also process your personal data when we have a legitimate interest, such as directing marketing directly to you. When required, we will ask for your consent.

3. What data is collected and for what purpose?

Personalized and relevant advertising

Our products and services contain personalized content. Such information are provided by Skippo, our customers and partners. Against this background, we may collect information about how you as a user use our products and services in order to show you customized content. We can also create this opportunity for our partners. Skippo also uses the combination of databases during data processing to be able to profile the information provided to the users. The information is processed on the basis of legitimate interest, GDPR 6 (1) (f), and the information is deleted twelve months after the information is collected. You can say no to Skippo processing your data to personalize ads on our websites by changing the settings for the cookie policy. Direct marketing

Skippo uses personal data for direct marketing in accordance with applicable legislation. This means that we contact you as a recipient directly, instead of through mass communicative means, with the intention of obtaining a response from you. We may also provide such personal data to our partners who wish to offer you direct marketing. In some cases, personal data is processed for the purpose of offering services other than Skippo’s own. In such cases, Skippo may process personal data for, and in accordance with the instructions from, third parties, such as our partners. The information is processed on the basis of legitimate interest, GDPR 6 (1) (f), and the information is deleted twelve months after the information is collected.

Statistical

For statistical purposes, Skippo may collect information about how you as a user use our products and services in order to analyze your behavior. Skippo may also collect information about market trends in order to determine future demand for the development of our products and services. The information is processed on the basis of legitimate interest, GDPR 6 (1) (f), and the information is deleted three years and one month after the information is collected. Data is also collected to improve our products and services, make them more user-friendly, check that they work correctly, and provide information about outages. Such information is collected, for example, with the help of Google analytics, Google Firebase Crashlytics and Facebook, as well as with the help of cookies that do not contain personal data. We also use IP addresses to, for example, enable us to diagnose problems in our servers, networks and to administer our websites, as well as for statistical purposes.

Your electronic equipment

Skippo collects information about your electronic equipment, such as mobile, computer and tablet, as well as about your internet connection. This information includes those generated by service logs and other tools, including your operating system, browser version, IP address, cookies, and unique identifiers. We do this to improve personalized offers to customers and users. The information is processed on the basis of legitimate interest, GDPR 6 (1) (f), and the information is deleted three years and one month after the information is collected.

Prevention of addiction

In order to prevent, limit and investigate various forms of abuse of, and illegal activities on the internet, we use personal data about users’ activities and electronic equipment. Abuse of the internet refers to, for example, ID hijacking, fraud and harassment. The information is processed on the basis of legitimate interest, GDPR 6 (1) (f), and the information is deleted three years and one month after the information is collected.

Consent to the processing of personal data

When there is a legal requirement to obtain your consent to process certain types of personal data, or to a certain type of processing, such consent is obtained from you prior to the processing of the personal data. The information is processed with the support of consent, GDPR 6 (1) (a), and is saved for as long as necessary for the purpose, see above, or until you withdraw your consent.

Sensitive information and persons under the age of 13

We never collect or process personal data that may be considered sensitive, such as information about your health. Our services are not intended for use by persons under the age of 13 and skippo does not intentionally collect personal data about anyone under this age limit. Facebook

By posting updates and comments on Facebook (”Facebook Information”), you enable skippo to process and share such Facebook information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. The information is processed on the basis of legitimate interest, GDPR 6 (1) (f), and the information is deleted three years and one month after the information is collected.

Location-based services

In order to offer you location-based products and services, Skippo may collect, use and store precise location data, including real-time geographic location of your computer or device. We use various technologies to track the location, such as GPS, Bluetooth and your IP address as well as wifi hotspots and cell tower location. This data helps us, for example, to offer you searches based on your location, real-time traffic information and directions, as well as the ability to provide you with information and offers from us or our partners. When you use the Tracking Plotter or Anchor Guard functions in Skippo services, the app retrieves location information even when the app is running in the background. The information is processed on the basis of legitimate interest, GDPR 6 (1) (f), and the information is deleted three years and one month after the information is collected.

4. Transfer of personal data to our partners (third parties)

Transfer

Skippo may transfer personal data to subcontractors if we deem it necessary to fulfill our commitments to you as a customer or user. Our subcontractors must always enter into agreements on the processing of personal data with Skippo to ensure a high level of protection for your personal data.

Our partners

Skippo may provide information about your behavior within our services and products to our partners. We may also provide such data to our partners in order to demonstrate the interest in a particular advertisement or campaign. We do not disclose personal data to third parties unless required by applicable law. However, your personal data may be transferred and processed by third-party suppliers who perform services for Skippo (personal data assistants) to enable these companies to perform the services ordered by Skippo. Only the personal data needed to fulfill the above purposes is disclosed to the companies. All third-party suppliers must comply with our instructions and applicable Personal Data Assistant Agreements as well as any other agreements that apply between Skippo and the third-party suppliers. Companies must also put in place appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data.

Public authorities

Skippo may disclose personal data to a third party such as the police or other public authority during a criminal investigation or if Skippo is otherwise obliged to disclose such information by law or decision of a public authority.

5. Security and privacy

Websites owned and controlled by Skippo have a high level of security that aims to protect the personal data under Skippo’s control. Skippo only processes personal data for the purposes for which it was collected and as stated above. Personal data is only available to authorised employees who hold a position that requires them to process personal data in order to carry out their work. Personal data is not processed longer than is required for the purpose in question. We comply with legal obligations and our internal retention guidelines. Skippo has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data so that only authorized persons have access to the personal data. We have also introduced internal guidelines to protect the processing of personal data.

6. Where is your data processed?

We mainly process personal data on servers within the EU/EEA. We may need to transfer your data to a location outside the EU/EEA. The level of protection of personal data in countries outside the EU/EEA may be lower than within the EU/EEA and if this is the case, we take appropriate measures under the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) to ensure that your personal data remains safe and protected. Skippo’s websites and mobile apps may contain links to external websites or services that are not controlled by Skippo. If you click on a link to an external website, we recommend that you read the information on the processing of personal data and the use of cookies that applies to the external website.

8. What are your rights and choices?

We have a legal obligation to ensure that your information is stored correctly and is up to date. We encourage you to help us meet this obligation by ensuring that you inform us of any changes to your information/preferences by contacting us at customer service.
You can exercise your rights at any time regarding the personal data we process about you:

  • The right of access and rectification: You have the right to request access to the personal data concerning you. This includes, for example, the right to be informed about whether or not personal data is processed about you, what personal data is processed and the purpose of the processing. You also have the right to request that incorrect or incomplete personal data be corrected.
  • Right to object: You have the right to object to certain processing of personal data, such as the processing of your personal data for marketing purposes or when we otherwise base our processing of your personal data on a legitimate interest.
  • Right to erasure: You can request that your personal data be deleted if, for example, the data is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected, if the processing is unlawful or if the personal data must be deleted in order for us to comply with a legal requirement.
  • Right to data portability: Personal data about you that you have provided yourself, which is automatically processed with your consent or in accordance with an agreement between you and Skippo as a data controller, you can request to be disclosed in a structured, generally usable and machine-readable format. You can also request that the personal data be transferred to another data controller, if this is technically possible.
  • Right to withdraw your consent: In cases where the processing is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing at any time.
  • Right to opt out of future marketing: You have the option to opt out of future marketing each time we send you marketing materials. You can also opt out at any time by contacting us.

If you wish to lodge a complaint with a national supervisory authority about our processing of your personal data, you can do so by contacting your local data protection authority (by ”local” means where you live or work, or where the alleged infringement was committed). The relevant authority is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (www.imy.se).
